These very special ancient excavated eye beads are found in Mauritania and Mali, specifically in the caravan towns of Timbuktu, Mopti, Djenne and Gao. They vary in design and wear, and iridescence, and are estimated to be somewhere in between 400 1000 years old. This strand of ancient faience beads is in excellent condition and measures just over 30 inches in length

It is a fairly sturdy ancient ring of black glass decorated with yellow striping

Could be late Roman Era

It is classified as a bracelet as it was originally sourced in the early 1980’s in Egypt with a few other Islamic glass bracelets
