This horn is one of seven Elkhart Conn 8D's that I recently picked up on consignment. The previous owner of the horn collection had the horns serviced by Paul Navarro and Chuck Ward over the years. This particular horn is an all original C Series Conn 8D! This horn does not show signs of any previous major dent work. The Finish on the horn is

The horn was professionally maintained and most likely had the valves rebuilt at some time

and all of the braces are secure

Priced to sell at $1

The lacquer has been removed

and the valves are fast and responsive

but a modified 6D is much better
