Chaetopelma karlamani 1/2”size 1 2 A new species to the U. S. hobby that was described in 1997 by Patrick Vollmer. Native to Northern Cyprus, This rare species lives in rock crevices and reaches 3 4 inches as adults. Not a lot of info on this species and the description is in German. Very limited numbers on these. Great project for someone looking to breed something new.
These easy to keep and breed spiders have become sporadicly over the last few years
An undescibed species that looks like it probably maxes out around 2 inches from the pics of adults that I’ve seen
Their beautiful purple fangs are remarkable and it will always be one of my favorite species
Described in 2024 as Hapalopus guidonae
