Lasiodora klugi 1/4”size 1 4 One of the largest genera on earth nearly rivaling the size of Theraphosa species. Described in 1841 by German Arachnologist Carl Ludwig Koch. These spiders can get 9 as adults and grow at alarming rates. One of the prettier in the genus, Lasiodora klugi gets some nice red abdominal hairs. Easy to keep terrestrial spider.

This is a monotypic species being the only one described in the genus that was described in 1907 by German arachnologist Embrik Strand
and at the time was the most I ever paid for a spider
