Amazonius germani 3/4”size 3 4 This spider has a interesting history of name changes through the years. It was originally described in 1994 as Tapinauchenius gigas by Gnter E. Schmidt. In 2018 Martin Hsser established the genus Pseudoclamoris where this spider was temporarily moved. However in 2020 Yeimy Cifuentes and Rogrio Bertani established the genus Amazonius where this spider was once again transferred and stands to this day. Cifuentes and Bertani also felt that

where they flair their legs out in an arched position displaying their fangs

allowing them to create nests and webbing in the corners

In 2025 this spider was moved back to the genus Chilocosmia
