White River Oval

White River OvalI love seeing something new or different in the rock world. My latest batch of White River, from the turquoise mines in Hubei has some truly spectacular patterns and colors I've not seen before! This gemstone is part of the Lavender Hubei family and while it's not a turquoise, it does contain the rare mineral hotsonite. The only other area this is found near turquoise is in Nevada. The colors range from the famous periwinkle blue and flow into shades

earthy greens ranging from lime and hunter to deep forest tones

Subtle patterns of deeper mossy tones and occasional shimmering inclusions add depth and character to each unique piece

or greenish tones—create stunning natural landscapes within the stone
