Merlin’s Miniatures started 2025 with an ambition to raise money for an excellent cause (Mind charity)

I hope someone can get as much enjoyment out of painting a LOTR miniature as I did and still do

For me when I think of Warhammer it’s my childhood

As such I am donating one of my last surviving armies that I had as a child

I still have every model I’ve ever painted (unless it was painted from the beginning as a gift for someone else)

I most likely would not exist

I'm one of the many hobbyists who was caught up in the thrill of the newly launched 40K in the early 1990's and has returned to it now out of an incredibly strong sense of nostalgia

That’s why I’m passionate about supporting others in the community and great charities like MIND because no one should have to face their battles alone

I'm still here

At times when I have been low

but only ever dabbled and never dove in
