This is a vintage Billecart with more-than-usual upside

This could use a bit more overall depth

45 ha parcel is very young vines with the remainder from vines of around 50 years of age)

yet it carries the extra weight gracefully

A more elegant and slightly better layered nose flashes notes of lemon rind

This also presently reflects evident oak and it’s enough to partially overshadow the cool and airy aromas of various dark berries

and it should evolve over the short term

pear and wet stone where the latter element continues onto the rich

It still has a deep colour with little ageing on the rim

A ripe Barolo with a pure berry thread that gives it vibrancy
